Specialist transport south coast

2012 already causing a stir

Specialist transport in the South Coast is getting some practice ahead of London 2012, with a number of vehicles making runs to the Dorney Lake facility for preparatory events ahead of both the 2012 Paralympics and Olympics.

For example, there were a few specialist transport vehicles from the south coast among those that visited the Eton-owned site this week in order to bring a variety of boats, including sculls, double sculls and coxless pairs. Among those present will be members of the Berkshire branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD).

In addition, members of the IoD also have the privilege of being able to listen to and interact with a select group of 2012 athletes.
However, specialist transport in the South Coast is likely to be at its busiest during London 2012 when it is carrying yachts and boats to Weymouth and Portland, Dorset, for the Olympic sailing events.
