London exhibition of eco-friendly transport

Exhibition transport recently brought some of the world's most innovative vehicles to London for the Bridgestone-Eco Rally.

Although the rally race itself started in Oxford at 10:00 am on July 31, with competitors eventually finishing at the The Mall, London, the rally was also complemented by exhibition transport bringing together a whole host of different vehicles for the UK's largest ever exhibition of sustainable transport.

Some of the vehicles that took place certainly fall within the "innovative" category. For example, there was a car that runs on wine or cheese and another that runs entirely on human sewage.

A spokesperson from organiser Bridgestone commented, "Bridgestone is delighted to be involved again with this year's Eco-Rally. Most people don't realise that the UK has some of the most economical and eco-friendly vehicles in the world. We need to shout about them and that is why this event is so fantastic – it showcased the vehicles of now and the vehicles of the future. Bridgestone is committed to reducing the impact of motoring on the environment and this year's Bridgestone Eco-Rally clearly demonstrated this."

It's events like these that will hopefully one day lead to exhibition transport itself using low-carbon emission vehicles, whether it is transporting goods from London to Brighton or Portsmouth to Manchester.
