High hopes for new French show

Event transport will head to France next month for the inaugural International Eventing Show of Le Pouget.

The event will take place in Montpellier between 17 and 20 November, with event transport expected to bring competitors from both France and wider Europe.

Rafael Mazoyer, a French team member and international eventer first had the idea for the event some time ago and after careful consideration decided that the best place for it to be held would be the Three Fountains Riding Centre in Le Pouget, which is little way North West of Montpellier.

There will be both one and two star rated CIC divisions featured at the event and it is thought that some high-profile competitors will be in attendance.

However, the event will be Three Fountains' first international event in 15 years so it will mostly be targeted at up-and-coming horses and riders, with hopes that the event will grow over the coming years.

If it is a success, it is possible that the meet will become a fixture in the event transport Europe calendar for years to come.

It is not known how many competitors from England will be crossing the channel, whether from Sussex, Hampshire or Dover in order to make the event.
