Spain to put on its dancing shoes
Band transport is set to help ensure that the inimitable Arctic Monkeys conquer Spain with two gigs announced for January.
First, band transport will see that they play a gig at the Palacio in Spain's capital, Madrid, on January 27, before helping Alex Turner (lead vocals, Lead/rhythm guitar), Jamie Cook (rhythm/lead guitar), Nick O'Malley (bass guitar, backing vocals) andMatt Helders (drums, percussion, backing vocals) take to the stage at Palau St Jordi in Barcelona on the following night.
Fans will have to pay 35 euros to experience the privilege of hearing Sheffield's finest pluck, strut and drum their stuff, while band transport in Spain will be hoping to ensure that all equipment is in place so that the concerts can go off without a hitch.
However, despite touring much of the UK in 2011 and 2012, there is still no joy for fans of the band in Sussex – the Arctics' last gig there was in Brighton in 2006. Again, it looks like Sussex fans of the band will have to travel up to London to get their monkeys fix.
